Parker - the Bear that Shares™ is an initiative of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. We hope you have fun visiting ParkertheBear.org. Kids who own a Parker will have access to their own webpage where they can collect photos, learn about the Blue Ridge Parkway and our national parks, and learn to save money and make decisions about how to spend it. Purchase of a Parker provides a unique username and passcode for this purpose. Of course, there are fun things to do and learn with no purchase at all, and we will continue to add to the website as our Parker family grows. We want everyone to learn more about the natural, cultural, and historic treasures along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is the first step in caring enough to protect them.

A portion of each sale benefits the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and is used to support our objectives to provide private funding to the Park Service for the preservation, protection, and enhancement of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

One goal of our website is to get kids and parents more interested in visiting and exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a wonderful place that inspires. Parkerthebear.org provides information regarding fun things to do with your kids on the Parkway. Being out in nature is good for the mental and physical health of children and adults.
